Wearing A Headset While Riding
Simply stated, the law says no person shall operate a vehicle while wearing a headset, headphone, or other listening device, other than a hearing aid.
But there are exceptions...
- Law enforcement officers performing their assigned duties.
- Using a headset installed in a helmet or worn so as to prevent the speakers from making direct contact with your ears allowing you to still hear surrounding sounds.
- Using a cell phone headset that provides sound to only one ear.
- Using a headset to communicate with a base operation that provides sound to only one ear.
